Scenario Questions, Role-play and a bit about me. Sometimes when hiring for a new store they do a big round of interviews all in the one day. You are put into groups and have to discuss answers and then taken for separate role-play and 1-to-1 interviews.

I applied online via the website, the store manager called me and we had a telephone interview. They do not inform you to prior to this so you must be prepared at all times. Your ability to answer the questions with little preparation is a sign you are a suitable candidate. Once I answered the questions, I was then offered a face to face interview. I was asked a number of questions relating to my experiences, how I dealt with past situations and how I would change the decisions made then. After this, I was asked to act in a role play situation where I would need to recommend the correct pillow for the customer. You do not need to necessarily remember every detail, they are looking out for eye contact, probing for detail and professionalism. I was asked to return to the store for an informal conversation with the store manager and was introduced to team members. I received a call the following week of a job offer.
