I was found on Indeed and contacted by a recruiter for the position. We had a pleasant phone screen, and I later met with HR and the Sales Manager for an in-person interview that lasted about an hour. The conversation was engaging, professional, and made me genuinely excited about the opportunity.
After the interview, I was told about next steps and left feeling optimistic. I followed up a week later but unfortunately never heard back. Communication, which had been very strong up until that point, suddenly stopped. I only learned that I wasn’t selected when I saw the “Not Selected” status on Indeed.
While the team seemed great and the process started off strong, I would have appreciated a simple rejection email or closure—especially after such a positive and communicative start. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way in respecting candidates’ time and interest.
