A short in person interview with the head of the department, and afterward a phone interview with HR when I was college. I applied at a job fair in my college.
Had interviews with four different potential supervisors. Asked me about my resume. Gave me a tour of the facility. Since they each interviewed me separately, I basically answered the same questions over and over.

Friendly experience. Detailed and comprehensive. They explained at length the details of the work and pressed for real comprehension not just buzzwords. Very impressed with the professionalism shown by the lab folks.
