Long drawn out process. The team had reached out to me for an interview, I didn't apply for this position. I made it all the way to the final round, which included 7 - 30 minute interviews. They weren't particularly upfront about the process and what the next steps were unless I had asked. Once I had made it to the final round, I was told I would hear back by a specific date, no update once that date rolled around. I followed up and it got pushed back to the end of the week. Friday came and went, no update. Had to follow up again the following week to just be told they went in a different direction because of a "competitive pool", which is usually what recruiters say after the first round, not after 7 interviews and the final round. Pretty frustrating experience. I also hate to say this but 1/2 of the interviewers were late to the interview, only one of which apologized.
