I applied online and a few days later received an invitation via email for an asynchronous video interview, where I had to answer five standard questions about my experience and expectations, and then upload a 10-minute video to any service and send the link. The requirements for the video duration and the depth of the questions don't align—it is impossible to deeply answer a question about my responsibilities and achievements in a favorite product within two minutes. In the video and the cover letter, I requested detailed feedback even in the case of a negative decision regarding my candidacy. Naturally, I received a standard reply stating that the company is moving forward with other candidates. I also didn't have the opportunity to ask questions about the company and the product. Considering that the vacancy has been open for more than a month with numerous applications submitted, it gives the impression that the company is doing something wrong, or the position is open just to monitor the market and gather insights from other companies.
