It was a part of the campus recruitment. Although the JD they gave before was of software engineer they reverted back to validation engineer on the day of recruitment. I did pretty well in the first Technical round and was selected for the further rounds. I reached the last round and everything was going pretty well. But in the end they ended up hiring all the girls and the 4 boys (who I'm pretty sure were better) were dropped off.
