During my recent interview with a company, the experience unfortunately took an unfavorable turn. The interviewer appeared disinterested and unprepared right from the start. They were late to the scheduled call and failed to greet me with basic pleasantries or introduce themselves. This immediately created a sense of discomfort and a lack of welcome. As the interview proceeded, it became evident that the interviewer was reading off a script and not fully engaged in listening to my responses. Instead, their focus seemed to be solely on moving through their predetermined questions rather than building a connection with me as a candidate. This lack of attention caused further unease and left me feeling undervalued. Despite my efforts to remain positive and answer their questions enthusiastically and honestly, the interviewer failed to create an environment conducive to open communication. They did not ask any follow-up questions or display genuine interest in my responses. In summary, the overall experience was negative and did not leave me with a favorable impression of the company or the interview process. I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking a positive and engaging interview experience. It is essential to feel respected and valued during an interview, and regrettably, this company fell short in that regard.

This was truly the worst interview experience I've ever had in my professional career. The first round was with the recruiter who was nice and professional. The second round was with the hiring manager, and where it all went downhill. The hiring manager was not only late to the interview but joined the call without even introducing herself or saying hi to me, and immediately said "ok let's get right into it". She started asking me very basic questions that showed next to no interest in me. Another highly disappointing part was that there was a home assignment that took hours to complete, and there wasn't even a mention of that. Not at all the experience you want to have and certainly the worst first impression of a hiring manager I've ever had. Dodged a bullet—should've listened to the reviews.
