Spoke to a recruiter who then sent me a 4-6 hour long assignment to complete. If you're a working parent or have a busy life, this is a total buzz kill.
Be prepared to spend a Saturday afternoon coding to potentially never hear back. Not even a "Sorry, your code didn't meet our standards".
Avoid applying at this place unless you're a single person with nothing better to do with your Saturday afternoon.

Required to complete a small and easy coding project. In person interview was like a code review.
Got to see the office. Some red flags for me: open office plan, office dog, and unenthusiastic dev team.
Talking with people from other office in DC (I think), the work culture seemed bad (long hours and stressful) and was told of the large amount of legacy code to maintain. No thanks

Recruiter calls with scripted tech questions. It was obvious that they were reading from a static script. I found the questions to be very impersonal and by no means should give any context into what I offer as an engineer. This just to get the resume in front of a hiring manager. I find these impersonal chats are good indicators of the management style, which is not a good fit for me.
