I had a phone screen that went well and I was told at the end I'd be connected with the hiring manager next. Then I was sent an email telling me they were moving forward with other candidates.

First call with recruiter, then take home test, then a final onsite interview which was two one hour interviews. One interview was behavioral and the other was a technical conversation with a product design section. After this I was told it would take 1 day to get back to me. It took them over a week and they ignored my emails. Finally the recruiter called me to say they wanted me but for a different position then the one I applied for. They told me they were going to open a new position and have me interview with one more person. This didn't happen and instead I was sent a denial with no explanation. What was the point of the false promise instead of just denying me from the start? Awful experience.
