The manager interview, however, focused heavily on my location, commute to their SFO HQ, and personal logistics, which took up a large part of the conversation. As a result, we didn’t spend as much time discussing technical depth or real platform engineering challenges. Not a negative experience overall, but the structure could be improved to better evaluate candidates’ actual skills.
Initial call with the recruiter and then a call with the hiring manager. Afterwards a technical assessment and then several rounds with the team and other employees you would be working with. Tiffany (the recruiter) was amazing and was in constant communication with me through the whole process. Unfortunately because of my situation, it didn’t work out, but I loved every interaction. Great folks, exciting work and I definitely could have seen myself working with them.
