Quite rude and expeditive 1st interview with recruiter. I have been contacted for another position than the one I applied for. The recruiter did not let me speak and explain it is the wrong position. Then they told me the position I have applied is taken so they added me on this one since it is supposed to be a similar role - it was an FP&A role but for different type of support and different entity. Then they did not ask any questions regarding, my motivations, resume or explaining what they are looking for. They directly and only ask me my current salary. When I told the number they told me that was too high. I said I was 100% open for negotiation depending on perks. And she just said no, that I am not a good candidate and hang up on me before I could say bye or any words.

1st interview with Recruiter 2nd with Hiring Manager 3rd with a cross functional partner 4th and final interview with the Finance VP I was very confident I did well at all stages as I was getting positive feedback along the process. After my last interview with the VP I got the impression that I was going to get an offer. However, 1 week after the final interview, and although I was told I would hear from them in the coming days and I didn’t, I decided to email them asking how the process is going and whether a decision was already made. The response I got: “We didn’t observe sufficient enthusiasm for the position and the company so we are processing other applications.” How can someone take this seriously after having cleared out all interview stages?? How can I make it all the way to the final interview if I was lacking the necessary enthusiasm? This is a joke. Don’t waste people’s time. Advice: next time you are about to reject a candidate tell them that you chose someone else for x,y,z reasons. I invested a lot of time for these interviews to deserve 1 sentence of feedback, which is a lie, and I only received because I decided to email you. Such a shame.
