This was an interview, take home test, another interview. Take home system was straightforward, no tricks and reasonable assessment as were the follow up questions. Interviewers were all pleasant, interactive and probing without acting superior. In all the interview side was quite nice. Red flag for me, and this is really important with consultancies, is the interactions with the admins organising all this. For me this in an indicator of how the interaction with the wider company will be outside of the development side. Everything was lackluster and very much the opposite of my experience with the devs, even the offer was a case of having to fill out a form to see a contract that I was to sign. So I declined.

30min call with an internal recruiter. 1hr with an engineering manager I did a take home test which was around 1-2 hrs 1 hr technical technical interview: first half was going through the take home test and second half was system design interview. At each step of the interview process all the members of xDesign: recruiters, engineers and managers where all very friendly.
