The interview process is easy. If you have a great smile, work it! I had been told a few months later the reason I was hired is because I had a people pleasing attitude and an open, constant smile. I worked there for 2 years and always saw a person get hired on the spot or receive a call back a few days later. The questions they ask you are simple. "How many hours are you available to work," "Why do you want to work here," "What would you bring to Cracker Barrel," "Describe yourself and some hobbies," "How would you deal with an angry customer," etc.

The interview was easy. They know most of these servers are just starting out. But they want you to know how to upsell, and how to work in a fast pace environment.

It went pretty well, just asked the norm, such as tell me a little about yourself and why do you want to work here. Just asked simple questions and told me I had the job and what day to come in next. I applied to be a server and they told me I would get 25 hours a week, but they ended up making me a to-go specialist and I’m getting like 6 hours a week. I also didn’t get scheduled for a month after my interview but I’m working a bit now.

Give me a situation with a difficult customer and how you handled it
Very easy, seems like they were looking for a pulse. Mine was done at the checkerboard in the dining room. not a difficult job, so not a difficult interview. I don't remember any specific questions
