I phoned the company and asked to speak to a director regarding possible employment opportunities. I was passed onto a director and they agreed to meet with me. The date and time were set for two days later. We met a Pattersons Cafe for about 30 minutes. It was an informal discussion about my previous work experience and where Controlworks was in terms of workload and future opportunities. I requested a start as a commissioning engineer as I was not familiar with the products they used with a view to becoming a project engineer in 6 months or so when I had familiarized myself with their products, it was agreed and I had a job offer the next day and started the following week.
