      Entrevista

The hiring process is really easy. 3 step process. The first interview you will meet face to face and have a brief conversation so they get to know you better. Not very many hard questions but also not very descriptive of what you will be doing. The lady told me that they had 70 people interviewing (probably a lie) and that 10 would move on and then from there they would hire 2-3 people. She immediately gave me a second interview and told me a date to come back and shadow someone. What I got from this was that I would follow someone in the office, NOT outside and walk with them door to door as they try to sell. The second interview was a full day 9-5 where we walked door to door and had lunch while discussing the company which is very misleading and makes it seem more prestigious at first. After the second interview I went back to the office and filled out a brief questionnaire while waiting for my final interview. The final interview was very short and they offered me the position.

      Entrevista

1st Interview: Easiest I've ever been in. I think she asked about my experience like twice. The rest of the time was just small talk. 2nd Interview: Shadow day. I follow around an Account Manager throughout the day. Don't let the words "marketing position" fool you. This is a B2B door-to-door sales job. You are literally going from business to business soliciting business for sports ticket packages. This time they were selling Mavericks tickets. 3rd Interview: 2 minute conversation over the phone. Then I was offered the position. I told them I had to think about it so they gave me the weekend to consider. ***This interview process was a joke. Clearly have a high turnover rate. I could've walked in there in my underpants and got the job. It's a pyramid scheme, they'll take anyone stye can get.

      Entrevista

I applied on craigslist because I was new to the area. My objective in looking into marketing positions in DFW was to get my foot in the door in the arena of Sports business & sales and marketing. I knew from my experience in school and from the numerous contacts I have in high up positions in sports teams across the country that anyone who has attained any status in upper level positions in Sports Marketing has a strong sales/marketing/presentation background. I found the position to be highly intriguing because they work with sports teams and I am a huge sports fan and went to school for marketing and sports business. I sent in my resume one afternoon and received a call mid morning the next day. I booked an interview on the spot because the girl on the phone was so polite and really fun to talk to. The office was in a great area of town with a lot of other big businesses and I could tell they were doing well because my interview was early in the morning and the office was buzzing with excitement with the team getting ready for the day. I met with the marketing manager and she explained in detail the company objectives, what the day to day was like and what I would be doing if I was invited back for a second interview. I waited eagerly and they called me the next morning to let me know I had been selected. I went back for the second interview and shadowed their assistant director who was very articulate and professional. He was also very educated on the industry and the client base. I was shocked to find out that the company which I at first thought was a small marketing firm for me to get my foot in the door with actually worked with over 110 clients in the DFW area including some of the high profile sports teams. I fought for the position all day. They took me to lunch where all of my questions were answered. I definitely had a ton. I kind of grilled the assistant director because I was worried about being in a sales role at first because I had limited experience. I do understand that almost all marketing positions encompass some form of sales though, so I knew I needed to get my foot in the door somewhere. The day went by quickly and I loved the people at the company, the advancement opportunities and the direction and goals of the company. There was a clear cut objective for each employee to move forward and that was exactly what I was looking for. I worked hard to sell myself to the assistant director, he told me he was not going to make the final decision. I actually did my final interview with the Owner of the company. She grilled me about my past experience but ultimately offered me the position and I couldn't be happier. I start on Tuesday and I will certainly report back on my progress.
