The interview for a Clinical Care Manager was by far the hardest interview I ever had. I literally shut down in the middle of the interview and could no longer think. I wanted to cry. Those questions were intense and extensive. However, I had one a year later and because I knew what to expect, I prepared for it almost like it was a college exam and got the job.

I applied for the position and was contacted by an HR rep about a week later. I interviewed with 3 higher ups in a panel format. The interview took about 1.5hrs.

I applied for the job late October, was called for an interview mid November, and scheduled the interview mid December. I met with the HR recruiter first, completed a typing test, and then reviewed the insurance benefits prior to meeting with two clinical managers. The interview was somewhat intimidating. The two clinicians were difficult to read and didn't indicate whether an answer you provided was something they were looking for or accurate. They simply took notes and moved on to the next question. The only time they broke a smile was in discussing their personal experiences in the company when I asked. The interviewers and staff all seemed happy to work at CBH in general. It was not disclosed until the end of the interview that the position being offered was to work only with providers and not with consumers. All questions were related to knowledge of the mental healthcare system at all levels (emergency/crisis through maintenance/stability), as well as case analysis and understanding DSM-V diagnoses.
