applied online, got contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn, passed hiring manager interview and proceeded to technical coding interview with two machine learning engineers who have maximum 3 to 5 years experience, but are now interviewing an architect...That's the not the main problem. The biggest problem is that I was told by the hiring manager through the recruiter that the interview will not be code heavy, instead will be focused on transformers, however, they did a full live coding interview, on an archaic algorithm that has nothing to do with the job (AI agent development). Total waste of time in preparing attention mechanism, coding etc.
