A recruiter reached out to me via LInkedIn, and we scheduled a time to speak. When we spoke, the recruiter said (almost over the top) how qualified I was for the role. Next I spoke with hiring manager, and we had a good conversation. Weeks later, I have heard nothing from anyone. I have been ghosted. I know - ghosted by a recruiter - what a shocker! I walked away from the encounter with the feeling the recruiter oversold me to get me to agree to an interview so that the recruiter could meet his "number." Just a waste of time and energy on many fronts.

Lots of interviews (like 8) and the process seemed incoherent as to what they wanted. I ended up speaking with multiple people over the course of 4 months. I never heard back from them after I was told they were going through some reorganization. A lot of time spent without a follow up. In addition I knew of multiple people getting hired at lower levels at a very fast pace.
