I found out about the position through a recruiter. I was told they would like to interview me. I spent 2 days preparing (going over resume, interview practice questions, getting suit and tie ready, haircut, etc.) as I was told VP is very picky and has had many candidates in front of her but has not liked anyone. I got to the interview, and within 30 seconds knew she was not interested. She was not tidy herself, did not greet me warmly, or in any way show that she was the least bit interested. She was very unengaged, did not tell me about the position, etc. She basically had an interview to explain to me why didn’t like my resume. It was a total waste of time. She ended it 30 min early. It was a humiliating experience, and not something I would expect from a person who had only been a Tax Manger herself before becoming VP. I am mostly frustrated that I put in so much effort to not even be looked at for more than 30 seconds. Good luck to anyone who can get this job! Not sure this manager will value you at all.
