I received two rounds of the phone interview from 2 different groups. One of them was very technical asking to explain the details of my research in my PhD and then asking questions about optical measurement instruments like OSA, ESA, VNA, measurement uncertainty and so on, the other phone interview was mostly qualitative.
On site interview was lasted 5 hrs and meeting with 3 different groups and members and it was mostly technical.

Entrevista
applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Ciena (Ottawa, ON) in December 2015. Applied on their website. Whole process was about 4 weeks. Phone interview asking about school, work experience. Some basic technical questions about operating systems, systems design. Called in for an in-person interview. Again, behavioral questions and more technical questions.

First contacted by phone by a senior manager, and went through my resume and also previous coding experience. Invited for an on site interview where you meet two of the senior managers and answered several behavioral questions.
