Very drawn out. I had an initial call that went great then I heard nothing back for a week or so and all of a sudden they wanted me to do more questions and another interview. I went through both rounds just to find out they prefer to hire people from very well known companies. Based on what I pieced together, it doesn't really matter what hiring managers think of you, it is all up to the CEO and President who just look at you on paper and don't actual evaluate your real credentials with at least a call. Basically, it is like the cool kids sitting at a table judging you based on what designers you are wearing. Knowing that left a bad taste in my mouth with this company which is sad because I truly believe in their mission but until they learn to trust the people they hired, I don't see a strong culture for employees.

Interviewed for a recruiting role and the process felt unnecessarily subjective and overly critical. By the second round, it already seemed like the decision had mostly been made, but I continued with the final interview hoping for a better experience. The recruiting exercise itself did not reflect realistic recruiting practices. Anyone with recruiting experience knows there is rarely a “perfect” search, yet nearly every decision was critiqued. There was also an expectation from Emily to somehow understand what qualified as a “Charlie Health clean profile,” despite that criteria not being clearly outlined anywhere in the prompts or instructions and this will clearly vary from company to company. Unfortunately, the experience came across less as a collaborative interview process and more as an opportunity to overanalyze minor details.
