Initial phone screen, followed by a series of video chat interviews. No in person interviews. The phone screens were fine, but when you go out of your way to dress appropriately and go to a video-friendly location, and the interviewer just calls in with no video - it’s frustrating.
Also, the hiring manager was slow to respond at times. I also got the sense that the hiring manager did not know what they wanted from a candidate until after the interview process was complete, as my background did not change but they got cold feet at the end based on my background. Overall, it seems like a waste of my time.
The recruiter was professional, however.

My process was swift and smooth. I think my recruiter and the hiring manager had excellent communication because they would talk about the same topics about the stage of the company and the skills needed. This is a global company so don't be surprised if you have more than one video call during your interview rounds.
The company has a great culture, and they want to make sure all new hires match it, so make sure to check some news and Cengage's credo.
