I met with about 4-6 different individuals. The interview process was straight forward and I was as transparent as possible when it came to experience and knowledge level of the industry, specifically stating that it would take me at least 3 months to understand the product, terminology and lingo and I learned best through reading white papers and articles to identify further questions. Upon starting, they were “surprised” by my lack of industry knowledge after providing little to no support materials and offering no time or training other than shadowing ~10 calls. It was made abundantly clear that they wanted someone from NASDAQ but no one was willing to make the jump.
