Entrevista
The interviewers were all really nice, pretty standard interview questions. Interviewed with three different people 1:1, and they all assessed different things. The last assessment was about how I would fit into the culture. Everyone seems to spend time outside of work with their coworkers and make friends easily. The environment is chill, no need to dress up, very start-uppy and everyone was very helpful when I first got into the office.

I spoke with 3 different groups of people all from the Customer Experience team. The first people I spoke to were rather junior and the last woman I spoke to was the most senior. They asked standard get to know you questions and nothing really to difficult. The whole interview was behavioral and very casual.

My entire interview process with Casper was a seamless experience. I was contacted shortly after applying through their job board. The talent acquisition team reached out to me through email to set up an initial phone screen. I believe in giving props where props are due, the recruiter that guided me throughout my experience is seriously next level. The company seems to be in extreme hyper-growth and I'm sure they have plenty of eager candidates in their pipeline. I can't imagine what his daily workflow must look like! Despite all that he was always available and responded to my emails within an hour. We spoke over the phone for about 30 minutes where he thoroughly explained the CX role I was interviewing for. He started with painting a pretty detailed picture of what a typical day would look like and what my responsibilities would be. He asked me questions about my past experiences and relevant skill sets but really focused on who I was as a person. From what I have gathered so far, Casper really excels at putting culture fit as a top priority.
I moved on to an on-site interview where I met with six different members of the customer experience team with varying roles within the company. Everyone I met with was engaged, thorough, informative and friendly. They all came from really different backgrounds so it definitely showed how much Casper values diversity in their workplace. Everyone was beyond intelligent and so humble about their accomplishments. The most important thing to note here is that they are extremely genuine and transparent with answering any questions I had. You can tell they are ok with the notion that they are human and like any job, anywhere - there will always be kinks to work out. What impressed me even further is that they all have each others backs. They really all do seem to like each other outside of being coworkers and support each other. It was so refreshing to experience a group that didn't need to fluff a position because they all seem to genuinely enjoy and are proud of the work they do!
My final interview was a second on-site interview where I met with a CX Team Lead, the Director of CX and a co-founder. I don't want to sound too repetitive here but - surprise! also an equally positive experience. This round was a great in elucidating potential growth opportunities with Casper, and familiarized me further with what day-to-day functions would be in my role. They were all really laid back. I had this interview on the second day of them moving into their new offices so things should have been chaotic but everything and everyone was so laid-back, engaged and focused.
Overall, the entire experience was not only positive but really pleasant. I often times found myself distracted because of how easy it was to get into such casual conversation with everyone. It was nice to see they really cared about getting feedback from me. Casper really values the candidate's perspective and looks out for the current team they have. I wasn't just some desperate candidate - I was a real human being with meaningful constructive insight. I never had an experience like this before.
Three days later, I was given an offer. I accepted and couldn't be happier!
