Applied online and took a couple tests. 1.5 week later, I received a phone call about scheduling an on site interview.
I went to the main office and spoke to the DM & PDM. The whole process was about an hour and they did not ask a lot of questions about my experience but shared with me what CVS is about. They also let me know that the job is very demanding with very little staff support. Majority of the profits are from the RX not the retails. They are looking for someone who can work both retail & RX. The management training program will start at the retail, then move to RX to be Pham tech, then move back to retail, so you are cross-trained to run the whole CVS. (The will pay you at MIT rate the entire time). They did say when I complete the training, depending on the marketing or my ability, I could either be Shift lead, AM, or GM.
2 weeks later, I got an offer with $17/hr. I did not move forward with them because I applied for a non-24hour location and expecting to be a manager at that location that has a hard closing time. But they did say, after the training the location is not guaranteed. I did not want to work at 24-hr location since the work/life balance will most likely be an issue.
