Took a few classes with a professor and performed well. Got a brief introduction of the research material in said professor's class and had an offline conversation during office hours about research opportunities. Professor reviewed academic performance and provided material to go through to observe time-management, and other skills.

Are you able to work 20 hours a week with your current schedule?
There was no interview. You will need to send your resume to the Professor. Very friendly, also the professor explained the project during the interview. Very easy to get the job.
Simple and straightforward. Basic knowledge of research and enthusiasm for academia was the focus of the interview. Background was also important due to the field of study, as well as prior research experience and conference preparation/presentation experience.
