I interviewed with two people. It was a very short interview...only 30 minutes. One of them left early which I thought was rude. I felt like they weren't really interested...just going through the motions.

I applied for an "Experienced Product Analyst" position with CSAA, within a day I was contacted by one of their HR reps to set up an initial interview. I was excited since I met or exceeded all the qualifications in the posting and this seemed like a great opportunity. Prior to my interview I re-checked the job posting and discovered that the job has been downgraded to "Product Analyst" and the salary band had decreased significantly as well. My salary expectations were well within the "Experienced Product Analyst" range but outside the band of the "Product Analyst" pay range, which is clearly an entry level job. I would not have applied for the Product Analyst job since I am not interested in an entry level opportunity. During my interview I asked why the job title had been changed and was not given a clear answer, only that the decision to do that had been made after posting the job. After they asked me about my salary requirements and I informed them, I was told that what I was asking for was outside of the pay band. I told the HR rep that what I'm asking for was well within the band for the job I actually applied for instead of this downgraded job that they hat switched out without even notifying me. HR rep told me that if the interview went well they would hire me on as a level 3 or 4, and that would put me in a band that would meet my requirements. I told the rep I would need to know if that would happen before going through the entire interview process as I don't want to waste my time interviewing for something that I will never accept from a compensation standpoint. HR rep told me they'd speak to the hiring manager and promised to get back to me that day with a decision. I never heard from them again. CSAA pulled a few shady tricks here and completely wasted my time. I will absolutely never consider them for any opportunity in the future.
