Entrevista
One phone interview, followed by one video chat/interview. The phone interview was fine, but the video interview was constantly interrupted by video breakup, lost connection, and frozen screens. I joked that it was the 'most suspenseful interview' I've ever had, but I think it was a detrimental way to conduct business. Why not just do it over the phone if the technology is so slow? I have no idea how many of my replies were cut off halfway due to losing the signal. It was very frustrating and I don't think it's the best way to present the company or my experience/personality.
It was a relatively basic interview process, but delivering successful responses required an understanding of editorial and breaking news process. Specific knowledge of CNN platforms was beneficial and well received by interviewers. Language proficiency was not valued. Experience beyond news production was not valued.

Entrevista
After an initial phone review with a recruiter, I had a video call with the hiring manager that lasted about an hire. I was then asked to fly out for a day of interviews where I met with different team managers and members of the team I had applied for. (this was pre-covid) It lasted the entire day. Three weeks later I got a call back with an offer.

One week after sending the resume and cover letter I received an email scheduling a phone interview with the recruiter. Simple questions about my experience. After that, I had a video interview with three journalists from the team and a written assessment. Then, another video interview with three other journalists from the team.
