I applied via their website for a role in Pricing and Risk team. I was asked to attend an interview in their office in London City a few days later. I interviewed with the team leader (dev manager?) and technical architect, the former seemed unhappy to see me and suspicious for some reason from the first moment. I was obviously one of many candidates they had interviewed, the conversation was very succinct and intense with them always trying to prove to me I don't really understand the stuff I have been working with for a number of years, not exactly a pleasant experience.
A few days later the HR sent me an email their feedback was positive and asked me to do a coding exercise. I sent them my solution, got a confirmation that it was received and never heard from them again.

Standard core Java questions, HashMap, GCs, multithreading, concurrent package. For the coding exercise they asked me to implement a limit order book into some skeleton code.

First interview: HR Second Interview : Hiring manager with Java questions, mainly about concurrency, data structures and GC Take home coding task Third interview: Technical interviews for 2 hours, 1 hr for java knowledge and leetcode , 1 hr for solving logic puzzles. Fairly decent and above-average-industry-difficulty coding exercise which was fun to code, however when your solution doesn't pass, you will just hear "it's not passing our functional tests". So a reply rather than a feedback. Despite your solution correctly compiles, might have clean code, 15+ tests written (with correctly asserted numbers against original description) - you won't hear what was wrong...

Initially they asked to write java program for a requirement (offline, you can take your own time to complete) and face to face. they may ask previous project and given opportunity how can you improve it. end of face to face they make ask you write test
