Recruitment was outsourced to a lovely lady who called me the day after I applied. She discussed the hiring, onboarding, and basic sales processes over the phone and then asked if I was available for an interview. I said I was available whenever they had time for me and she offered an interview with the sales manager for the very next day.
Out of curiosity, I researched the company on sites such as Glassdoor etc. This research helped me ask better questions in the interview about the company processes. I think my interviewer did not expect me to do any research before the interview,,, My questions were about the businesses same-day sales strategy, team satisfaction, any newly integrated technology, how collaboration between departments works etc. He didn't really sell the company very well in his mannerisms and answering my questions. He seems very uninvested in the interview after only one or two of my questions and outright asked me if I had researched the company. This is the ONLY company I've applied to/worked for that did not appreciate being proactively interested in the business.
