I was contacted by the CERN via LinkedIn for a Scrum Master opportunity in January 2021. I had my first contact with the HR team few days later and we scheduled a first interview 5 days after the initial contact. The interview was very pleasant and easy going with two experts in the area. I then had a follow-up discussion with HR again. After providing them two letters of reco from existing colleagues as requested, I had no answers despite my attempts to get an update on my application. I received a very generic email a month later mentioning my application was unsuccessful and feedback couldn't be provided. Considering the amount of exchanges, the touchy request to get recommendations from existing colleagues and the waiting game that followed, the very last contact was below expectations from an organization with this level of standards.
