Interview process takes about a month, and you interview with 4-5 managers.
Honestly, and unfortunately I don't believe they want to hire minorities. Think of it like this, white interviewees interviews at 0 and work their way up to 100. Most African Americans and Latinos are starting from -50 and working to that same 100 because of racial basis that exist in the interview process, whether intentional or not.
I can honestly tell you during this process, I had a feeling after my voice was heard over the phone and after my one way video interview was complete that it was going to be an uphill battle to prove I could "compare" myself to my white counterparts. As a minority, sometimes you just "know" when you are in a situation like that. I believe it stems from "drinking the kool-aid" cultures where management looks for applicants like THEMSELVES, not for an ability to do the role competently, but literally for a person JUST like themselves, which allows this to sort of thing to flourish.
If you are interested in this position, I would tell you to apply, but keep in mind if you are a person of color or female, your answers ARE going to be treated with a grain of salt/suspicion, and you will have to jump twice as high as your white male counterpart to prove you "fit in" verbally, technically and "culturally" to a program that is looking for candidates to "fit the current mold".
If you are hesitant to believe me, head to Linkedin, type in "CDW -Associate Consulting Engineer" and take a look at their current employee's diversity make up yourself.
