Build a bit adder using mux

We can take 4x2 mux. Let's say a & b are 1-bit signals which are to be added. Assume S0 & S1 are selection inputs of the mux, D0, D1, D2, D3 are the input pins of the mux and Y is the output pin of the mux. Connect a & b to the selection bits of the mux. Connect D0 & D3 with GND/ Zero(0) and connect D1 & D2 with VDD/one(1). This arrangement will work as the SUM of the Half Adder.
