Very strange.
Met an HR person at a hiring expo, who wanted to set up a phone interview the next day. She was nearly an hour late for our phone interview. She did not warn me, and I had to email to remind her.
Then there were questions about my resume, but it was as if she had never read it, even though I watched her read it the day before. She became confused at very basic things on my resume. She mentioned over and over that I had no report writing experience. Except, my most recent role involved writing reports, I mentioned it directly on the phone, and it was directly on the resume.
Despite having 2.5 years of industry experience, 1 as a supervisor, 1.5 years of reports and a MBA, my "lack of report" experience apparently disqualified me from this position that she initially suggested me for after reading my resume at the expo.
She then suggested I take all the above, and work as a call center rep to work my way up. Except, I wouldn't be doing the "reports" as a rep, so there would be no way to work my way up, following her own logic.
Simply, bizarre.
I wonder if there was even a Project Manager gig available. If my experience was any indication of the company... look elsewhere.
