Recruiter had a 40-minute phone call with me that went well. Unusually in my experience, an offer amount was texted to me right after that was well under what I had asked for as a minimum. Although I initially indicated I would move forward with the interview, I changed my mind after the weekend. So far so amicable. My question is, 5 minutes after we texted each other to confirm my cancellation, why did I receive a notification on LinkedIn that a "Custom Quote Coordinator" was now hiring? What happened to the other 19 applicants on the original job posting that I had applied to? This race to the bottom helps no one get ahead. Avoid this corporation.
