Interview was a combination of 1:1 and panel interviews. Easy process and the team was fun and jovial during panels. Total amount of time spent on interviews was around 3-4 hours. Did not have a technical portion, as they are pretty good about being able to tell whether or not you have "chops" during the interviews.

The interview process started with a series of phone screens and then BlueModus flew me to Denver for final interviews. In a sense it was a treat. Being from out of town, I was put up in a nice place and treated with hospitality. When I walked into the office, there was an immediate character test. The office dog came right up and wagged her tail. After passing the canine test,  I had separate interviews with two large panels. One hour with a technical panel, and another with a PM panel. They were both focused on culture fit, even the technical panel. Of course, they wanted to be sure I had the technical chops, but they largely based that on my experience and accomplishments. They also wanted to make sure that my ego wasn’t too big to collaborate. Ironically, the PM panel was the toughest. These people really depend on solution leads to throw a flag when something’s out of scope or taking more time. They wanted to be sure I had that experience and wouldn’t hesitate to raise concerns, or to review the progress and the quality of dev work. After the panels, I had some informal discussions with the management team. At which point, they wanted to answer questions and sell BlueModus. It wasn’t hard because I was impressed with the talent and culture of the team.
