The entire process involved two calls (one initial call, one technical screen) followed by an onsite interview. The onsite itself consisted of a group presentation, followed by a few one-on-ones with other developers and team members. It felt very much like it was designed to weed out candidates that weren't perfect. The timing of the interview combined with their interview style results in a lengthy and tiring process which seemed designed to ensure candidates make mistakes. It seemed less about seeing how you solve problems and think about solutions in a real world environment and more like an extension of phone technical screenings made worse. The people seemed genuinely excited to work at Blue Origin but at the same time it felt like a culture where mistakes and gaffes are not tolerated. I'm not sure that's a particularly healthy environment to work in.
