The interview process was great at the beginning. I answered initial questions via email and was then brought in to interview with some of the team leads. I was then brought back in to present on a topic of my choice to the rest of the team. They asked for my references and my references were called. Overall, a very positive experience and I really enjoyed getting to meet the whole team and learn why they love Blue Moon. It was a place that I felt would put my skills to good use, where I would feel valued.
The part that was off in the interview process was that I received a phone call from their HR company, Forte, after my references were contacted and I was asked to interview with Forte HR at 2:30 the next day. I had never had contact with Forte HR, nor was I informed that there was a third party handling all of Blue Moon's HR functions. I was there for two hours and 30-45 minutes was spent discussing my background/me asking questions, but another hour was spent talking about personal topics or how the interviewer's computer never works (her computer shut down maybe four times during the interview). The questions they asked were hard to answer because they have never worked with advertising client so I was thrown off on how I could tailor my stories so that they understood.
At the end of it all, I received a generic email response to tell me they moved forward with another candidate. Usually at this stage in the interview process you receive a phone call, especially after all the contact I've had with Blue Moon, so I was surprised I received an email response that would typically be sent after a first phone interview.
