The interview was very rushed and the interviewer just generally wasn't listening to me. For one problem I proposed two possible ways of approaching it (let's call them A and B). I explained that method A would be the better approach and was starting to implement it but he asked me to implement method B instead. I made sure to point out method B's cons as I was coding to show that I understood the code. After I was done, he started explaining to me why B wasn't a good method and seemed unimpressed but he was the one who made me stop doing method A and do method B in the first place? At this point, it just confirmed my suspicions that he'd only been half listening the entire time. Additionally, from what I saw, I was surprised by how dated some of their systems appear to be. The recruiter emails were super disorganized and in literal type writer font. Overall, a very odd interview experience and not what I was expecting from a company as large as Bloomberg.

One hour technical interview conducted over Zoom for a python & c++ role. The interview focused on operating systems concepts and multithreading. Questions covered synchronization issues and required. The process was technical, clear, and well structured.
