Long interview process. 1. Initial phone screen with recruiter 2. Writing Sample 3. Phone interview with hiring manager 4. 2 hour phone interview with 4 people. (Why?) Touchy communication with recruiter. Her coordinator said she should call me the next day after the 2 hour interview. No phone call. Week later a rejection email. Almost felt they just interviewed me to met quota or whatever. I was really excited about this opportunity and to make it to the last stages just hurt even more. I admit I could have been more on top of my game when it came to answering the questions.

First was a writing sample then recruiter sent an email setting up phone interview with a manager which went very well,3rd interview was at Square in SF, interviewed in 30 min increments with 2 team leads, 2 team members (did mock phone call), software engineer who explained fraud software than asked what decisions I would take on each acct, last was with 2 team managers who asked a few situational questions and how I handle work life balance. Overall the interview at their headquarters was GREAT and I was excited about potentially working with a company(Square) that has made a significant impact in ecommerce that is until the communication between myself and the recruiter left me with a negative impression of their recruiting process. After my interview the recruiter was very inconsistent with updates and it took almost two weeks before I finally received a no thank you.
