Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Biogen (Boston, MA) en jun 2015
Entrevista
After meeting with Hiring Manager I was invited back for an official interview. This consisted of 1hr presentation and a round table discussion. This was then followed by 1:1 meeting s with 4 different scientists. Everyone was very friendly and engaging. Unfortunately, the opportunity fell through in the end, because Biogen went through a re-organization the following week which resulted in massive lay-offs. Maybe lucky I didn't get the job?

Very organized, timely and honest. The initial HR/recruiter discussion was open and informative, and the group interview was similarly comfortable but appropriately challenging. Got a good sense of what the group and job entail. Despite having to schedule during 2020, the process was very smooth.

I applied online through their career website and was contacted for a phone interview after 3 weeks. HR was nice and worked with me to schedule the phone interview for 1 hour. On the day of phone interview, I waited long to receive the phone call as the hiring manager did not call me on time. I's hesitating whether I should call them instead or leave it up to them. But then the hiring manager called-she was late by 30min from the scheduled time. They did not inform me that the hiring manager would be late- so unprofessional. The hiring manager was a Chinese and she said that she was working in the lab and that was why she was late, and she felt sorry for my time. She began the interview process by asking me 'tell me about yourself' question. After that she asked me mostly technical questions from my postdoctoral work. The phone interview lasted for about 15 min. At the end of the interview she asked me if I had any question about the interview process or the employer. I asked where do I stand after this interview. She told me you did a great job and would like to be in touch about the next step. After the interview process I sent her and HR a thank you note. They did not acknowledge or ever got back to me. My feeling is that they had an internal candidate or some favorite one and my phone interview was a hogwash.
