Very haphazard experience. Was doted on, then hired in the room by the CEO. We're talking salary offered and accepted, business cards ordered, the works. Then the next day, he had me review the resume of another "potential hire" for the job he'd just hired me for. I couldn't believe it. This guy was one of those super "nice" buddy buddy CEO's who is clearly used to having everyone fall down on their faces for him, which makes sense since I found out later he inherited the company.
He made me work for three day for free before our agreed upon start date and did not pay me ($30 an hour based on the agreed salary). He said he would. I have yet to receive a check, over a month later. I ended up, get this, being summoned to his personal garage in the middle of winter on the third free day of work to clean out the place, which he called "a second interview" for a job I supposedly already had! Also on site was my competition, who (of course) turned out to be an attractive young 29 year old girl with far less experience. I made excuses and went home, then said I had no desire to continue to work for him, which I think was his hope, since he had officially hired me and changed his mind for no reason. I literally almost sued for age discrimination (I am 46) but thought better of it, because life is too short. I not recommend this company to anyone, customer or employee. TERRIBLE experience and just not worth the aggravation. I felt traumatized.
