After applying for the job and messaging the recruiter on LinkedIn to let them know about my background and interest , they simply just viewed the message and ignored it. Almost two weeks later they sent me an automatic email template with no obvious reason for the rejection. Why would you open applications for a position if you not even willing to consider external applications or at least answer people saying "we thank you for the interest, but". Awesome candidate experience, congratz!
