The interview process was fine, but I got to a 3rd round interview after completing and submitting a market research project for them and taking time with them for 3 weeks, and they completely ghosted me after the final interview and many follow-up emails.

Two interview rounds, both in person. The first interview was with a senior analyst. It very conversational and with a nice guy who genuinely seemed interested in my background and was easy to talk to. Then I was given a few days to work on an assignment with a very large data set. In the second interview I met another senior analyst and then a partner.
I'm not sure if the conversations I had with the other 2 people could make up for such a terrible, abrasive final interview. This guy kept looking at his phone, his computer, and got distracted by things throughout the interview. But more importantly, he was really awful at interviewing. It was sad to see how much trouble he had articulating his questions. On top of that, he got visibly frustrated with me and interrupted me if I didn't interpret his vague questions in the way he intended.
Finally, this guy gave me not one but two lectures on just how demanding he is of his employees. He gave examples of expecting employees to drop everything if he calls them at 8pm to fix something. He told me to expect to work 10-12 hours everyday day. "You won't have to work all the time, but you'll have to be thinking about work all the time". Before I could respond to all that, he basically told me there was nothing I could say to convince him that I would be capable of this demanding work, because he'd heard it all before in the many interviews he's given previously. Who would work at this place?
