First stage was a screening telephone interview with HR, and then a second telephone interview with the Brand Manager. The HR employee was personable and helpful, responding quickly to communications. Unfortunately, despite having a lot of relevant brand and design experience (not far from the managers own careers experience) and the telephone interview flowing and going well, I was rejected on the basis of the brand manager feeling "I wouldn't be a good fit" in the team. I still don't understand what this means and how she could come to this conclusion based on a 20 minute conversation, (I am very easy going and get on well with people from all walks of life) so can only conclude that this was a strange personal bias which came through. I found this to be highly unprofessional from a well established brand which I would expect more from. For the people who manage to get through the BT 'personality test', it did seem like a great place to work. But for me- I have lost a lot of respect for this brand and it would certainly put me off applying for jobs in the future (would my experience even be relevant). Not great communication from a telecommunications brand.
