Since the company field in space and defense, it is normal for the HR process to be long because after passing the interview a security scanning needs to be done which takes time.
But overall, the process and interview process was in a professional way.

The interview process consist of three parts:
1- First part is taking about of yourself.

3- last part, is an HR part where the question are competence questions.
No reply to my follow up email after round 1 interview which was a shame as the role seemed interesting. General questions about that my current salary is, what salary I’m expecting

I applied online and attended an event, where I spoke to the hiring manager who recognised my name and CV. We had a lively discussion and agreed to follow up later. I then attended a face to face interview. This was competency based and very straightforward. It was also extremely hurried and the interviewers' attitude was sort of 'I don't want to insult you intelligence by asking this but..'. They also mentioned they had to take a lot of notes for HR. This gave the impression that they were dictated to by a HR process slightly, further emphasised by comments later about 'process treacle'. I left the interview feeling they had pretty much rushed it and were glad to have someone interested in the role.
They were focussed on COTS, but didn't seem too sure what it meant, outside of their own problem domain. On several occasions, they confused the concepts of virtualisation and operating systems. There was a fixed view of what integration meant and I don't think the interview format (on rails) or time really offered much opportunity to really explore the candidates experience or capabilities.
They repeatedly stressed work life balance as a key benefit. This is most likely because the basic salary is low. though other benefits are good.
They are doing some interesting work, perhaps struggling to find and retain good people, but don't seem to realise it.
