A very long and difficult process. Many stages, a presentation . Multiple meetings with multiple teams. Get ready for a long process. Phone interview, peer interviews, Human Resources, hiring manager

The interview process was lengthy. For me, it lasted about a month and a half. They are evaluating for cultural fit. I first had a phone interview with HR, then an in person interview with the Area Sales Manager and one of the Regional Sales Managers, next an in person, less formal meeting/interview with two other Regional Sales Managers and then lastly a half day interview and 15 minute presentation I was tasked with hosting. They did provide ample notice ahead of the presentation to prepare. The topic was an introductory, high level meeting with a group of executives at a target customer. Overall I felt the interview process went very well. I had great conversations with the entire team I was introduced to throughout the process. I felt the presentation went well also. After the presentation, I had a one on one interview with the VP of Sales via video chat and then spoke with the HR contact I had been communicating with throughout the entire process via video chat. During this time, the HR contact shared with me the results of the Predictive Index assessment Axis had me take as well as started reviewing company benefits with me. After that, I met with the Western Director for a one on one interview and we finished the day with lunch. I felt all seemed to go smoothly and felt I could fit in well with their team. I followed up after the interview and the HR contact replied that initial feedback on me was good and gave the impression I would be offered an opportunity with the team. In the weeks after the interview, I followed up every week as I was very interested in the opportunity. The HR contact was great with responding to my follow up emails, but the Area Sales Manager did not reply to any of the follow ups. This continued on for about 3-4 consecutive weeks. I decided to approach the Area Sales Manager (who would be my boss given the opportunity) with a follow up phone call as an alternative means of showing my interest in the opportunity and gauging where they are in the decision making process. This alternative approach to making contact is of course something salespeople normally by nature do. I did not receive an answer but roughly 30 minutes after I made the call, I received an email from the Area Sales Manager bluntly stating they have decided I am not the right person for this role. After this email, I emailed everyone who was involved in the process thanking them for their time in meeting me and sharing the Axis business strategy as well as requesting feedback on how I can improve myself and what I could have done better. I sadly received no feedback from anyone on the team. I was disappointed in the way the interview process finalized because Axis truly is a GREAT company. They are without question the greatest past, present and future of the Network-based Security Industry. They have a business model they implemented at day one, stuck to it and have become the premier company in this industry. It just felt odd how the process lingered on and then came to an abrupt end without feedback as to where I missed the mark. I'd still recommend anyone to pursue a career with Axis as I feel it would be a very rewarding place to work but as for myself, I just feel puzzled.
