The HR team was nice, but the technical interviewer was really disrespectful. He arrived 10 minutes late, a plate of pasta in hand, and started eating during the interview. He kept asking questions about data engineering, not a single one about machine learning. I tried to point out that he might be confusing the positionsor profils, but he ignored me and told me to answer his questions if I could. At the end, he asked me why I had applied for a data engineering position if I was a data scientist. He had indeed made a mistake and wasn't even prepared. He concluded by saying, "This is an unfortunate error, but I must now decline your application for the machine learning role."
