I appeared for an Atlassian interview a couple of months back and I wanted to share the feedback of the process . What went well: First of all, thanks a lot for giving me this opportunity and it was an excellent experience for me to be interviewed for Atlassian engineers. Since the scheduling of the interviews till the final interview, everything went great. Recruiters shared the detailed job description, explained the process in detail and even shared the preparation material, it helped me a lot. All the discussions were scheduled as per my convenience and every interviewer was a very good person and excellent engineer. So the overall process till the last interview was pretty smooth and well planned and exceptionally executed. What needs improvement: But later came the daunting phase of dealing with the Atlassian interview process, after a few days of the last interview, I got a call from Recruiter saying that my feedback for all of the rounds was positive and I should be expecting a call from HR in the next couple of days. And as suggested, I waited for a few days but never got any call, so I dropped an email to the recruiter and HR but got no response, then after a few days I called the recruiter again but the call got un-answered, so I imagined that maybe people are on holidays or busy. So I waited again for a few days and then I repeated the same process of email-call-email again but this time also got absolutely no response. After trying to connect with HR for a few weeks, I tried to see of my case is one of a kind, so I decided to explore portals like Glassdoor and to my utter surprise I see that this "Ghosting" is pretty common in Atlassian India and I am not the only one here who did not hear anything from HR after the interview. Suggestion: One of the easiest things to implement, I can recommend is that before closing any recruiting case, i.e. candidature, request Recruiters to attach an email that they dropped to candidates informing of their final status, without that the case should not be even allowed to close, something like Jira ticket.
