Submitted materials through a very cumbersome and dated applicant-tracking system. An admin contacted me to set up a 15 min. phone screen, which I did the following week with a panel of three people who actually worked at EdPlus (no recruiter step, which caught me off guard). It was an awkwardly short amount of time to try interact with three people via phone, not nearly enough time to answer questions fully or ask any questions I had. Panel didn't seem particularly interested in me or excited about the work they were doing, which was really disappointing after reading about EdPlus and all the amazing work they do (the person leading the interview had this sort of bored, removed tone in his voice as he very vaguely described the work). Since employers always treat you the best while they are trying to hire you, it made me question how great the work culture would be. I also left the interview not at all inspired about the work or convinced it would be an exciting, innovative place to work.
